Wednesday, August 7th, 2019
Meritex Highcrest II & III recognized by Finance & Commerce as one of Minnesota’s top design and construction projects for 2018.
Projects are judged for their degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability efforts.
Highcrest II & III are two state-of-the-art 144,000 sq. ft. speculative bulk-distribution buildings. The development followed the acquisition and demolition of a 360,000 sq. ft. industrial property, formerly known as the Minnesota Technology Exchange building.
The sister buildings share a 180-foot-deep truck court. They are designed with flexibility for single and multi-tenant opportunities with 40-by-50-foot column spacing, 32-foot clear heights, 52 dock-high doors, and six curtain wall entrances.
The project team was honored at the Finance & Commerce event. The team includes:
- Owner: Meritex Enterprises
- Architect: Pope Architects
- Contractor: RJ Ryan Construction
- Geotechnical & Material Testing: American Engineering and Testing
- Civil Engineer: Loucks Inc.
- Structural Engineer: Clark Engineering
