Pope Architects is honored to have been involved with two projects selected for the 33rd Annual NAIOP Minnesota Awards of Excellence program.
PrairieCare Child Psychiatric Hospital, Brooklyn Park
[ MEDICAL OFFICE / MEDICAL ]
The PrairieCare Child Psychiatric Hospital serves 1,500 youth annually, positively impacting families and children through mental health resources and compassionate healthcare. The new hospital opened in 2015 and was designed by Pope Architects. PrairieCare’s vision is to transform psychiatric care, and this hospital transforms care through its design. The overarching goal was to create a highly secure setting that is aesthetically approachable, tailored towards its population, and non-institutional. This is accomplished in part through non-obtrusive security features, innovative psychiatric building materials, vibrant finishes and access to an abundance of nature. PrairieCare’s elegant building provides a welcoming cornerstone to the Brooklyn Park development.
